Derek & Carrie Barbour

The Barbours have been a part of the Steele Creek family for over 20 years. Carrie and Derek started attending a couple of years before they were married in 1999. Many years and ten children later, God has called them into the mission field. Before moving overseas, the Barbour family had the privilege of working with the Lost Boys of Sudan who attended Steele Creek. These refugees who told heartbreaking stories of survival and trust in the Lord Jesus left an indelible mark on this family.

After ministering with the Degar and giving their hearts to pro-life ministry on the streets of the busiest abortion clinic in Charlotte, God moved the Barbours to Georgia where He gave them a passion for Arab Muslims that were escaping war in the Middle East. Derek and Carrie Barbour, along with their ten children, are now serving in Lebanon. A country in great turmoil and its people in despair, the Barbours are bringing the hope of Jesus by meeting the physical and spiritual needs in their community. Please pray about supporting this family as they labor in a very dark place.
