Joseph & Monique Dorbor

Joseph Dorbor grew up in a village in Liberia, West Africa. He lived in a mud like hut with a roof made of what they call tach leaves. His family did not have much, but they made the best with what they had. Joseph’s father made $11 a month and could not afford to send him to school. They depended on God for everything. When given the opportunity to receive an education, Joseph walked miles through the forest to school each day. He had to arrive before the other children because he was the janitor of the school, but still a child. Joseph cleaned the school Before school started and after it ended each day. He would get home late and study hard. Joseph had it hard as a child. His mother died at a young age and his father did the best that he could, given the circumstances. Therefore, Joseph’s passion is to help the children in the villages of Liberia. His heart cries out for these children to know Christ and to have an education. God gave the vision of Leaders Foundation Mission of Liberia to Joseph because of God’s blessing in his life and how God has delivered him. His hope and goal is that the children who are given the opportunity, through Leaders Foundation Mission of Liberia, will grow up in Christ with an education and that they will pay it forward and bless another generation.

We live and when given the opportunity we find Christ. When we find Christ, we do better and when we do better, we try to help others to do better. This is discipleship, each one teaches one in Christ.
